Gram and Aunt Carly came over to help Ashton make dinner for everyone. It had an Halloween theme of course. They made Navajo tacos, bean dip and caramel apples. It was delish!

Rough Morning

It's that time again!

This is the time of year when I'm known as widow Jackman... at least this year Ash can go with Aaron. Aaron is so handy, he revamped this duck boat tht was given to him, it looks awesome! I think they will have a lot of fun using it.

I was telling Ash that he was going hunting with his dad today in front of his friend Carter. This was the conversation:
Carter : I don't know what duck hunting is.
Me: It's shooting ducks.
Carter: Mean ducks?
Me: Yep.
Ashton: Actually, we shoot happy ducks too.

Wahoo!

I have tried to post this several times and for some reason it's not working - but I have great news! My brother Scott and his wife Carly are expecting! They're due in May, I can't wait!

Still a Baby

I often forget that Colten is still so little. His new thing is to constantly have his right pointer finger in his mouth - is that better than sucking his thumb?

He has also been speaking a lot of gibberish to us. During one of his long 'stories' Ashton says "I don't want to listen to Colten's story, if it's about Big Foot I'll get scared!" As if Colten is always telling us stories about Big Foot!

Colten has also taken to saying prayers - he folds his hands or arms, squints his eyes and mimics noises to the tune of our prayers. It's so cute.

He loves to beat on Ashton any chance he gets - especially when Ash is asleep. He'll lean over in the car, grab Ash's hand, hit it a few times and throw it around...it's funny (for now).
