Ash says

While teaching Ashton that helping people is more important than money Aaron told him to repeat "mo' money, mo' problems"

Big boy bed

We just switched the crib over to Reagan's room. Colten now gets to sleep on the bottom bunk bed - but he's NOT having it. Every time we talk about going night-night he says "int int, sissy night-night." He can't possible go to bed when sister is in his bed! We have been sitting in his room for an hour at bed time keeping him in bed until he falls asleep. If we don't he climbs up on Ashton's bunk and beats him in the face with whatever toy is available (usually the toy hammer). Ash has a hard enough time sleeping without that fun. At nap time he usually ends up on the floor. Poor boy.

Conversation with Ash

Me: I don't want you to grow up
Ash: why?
Me: cause I want you to stay like this
Ash: why?
Me: cause I love you like this
Ash: well I'll love you more when I grow up (lifts his hand as high as he can)

10 min later

Ash: mom? I want to grow up, do you want me to grow up?
Me: yeah I do
Ash: good!

Ash says

Aaron and Ashton had this conversation when they went fishing with Aaron's captain. "Dad, Sean is not going to catch any fish."
"Yes he is."
"No he's not."
"Why not?"
"Cause all the fish are going to the other guys and us, Sean keeps getting bad spots."

6 month check up

26.3 in. She didn't grow in height, 75th percentile. 16.2 lbs. Gained 2.2lbs 50th percentile.

We took the train to SLC the other day. It was a lot of fun. CC was so concerned with taking care of Reagan. She wanted to hold her and feed her her bottle. It was nice to shop without the boys too!

Wee Ones

I spent the day with the little ones while Ash was at school today. Nap time didn't really work out, but I think it was worth it.

Today, Colten rolled Reagan where ever he was going so he would have a playmate while Ashton was at school.

Ashton Says

While we were waiting for my sister and niece to fly in today, my sister-in-law Carly was talking to Ashton.
Ashton: When CC gets here I'm going to tell her I love her.
Carly: What do you think she'll say back?
Ashton: I love you too, I think she can talk now.

And he did, and she did. So cute!

A New Year

It's a brand new year. I love new beginnings, the chance to start fresh. I'm not usually good at new years resolutions - I'm better at fulfilling goals in the spring and summer - it's the sun, it gives me energy or something. Anyway, there are, however, a lot of areas I would like to improve in this year and patience is one of them (this pic is from a random generator that just pulled this goal out for me...guess it's a sign). I get so caught up in going, going, going that I lose perspective on whats really important. I don't know how to quantify this goal but I plan on taking a lot of deep breaths!
