Sushi Night
We have a group of friends that we enjoy going out to sushi with, so we decided to try to make it at home. It was so much fun. After a couple hours of prep (no joke) we sat down to enjoy our creations. Yummy! We loved it.

Our New House
So we moved in right before Christmas:
That is the actual front view of our house - see:
Anyway I put together a video tour of the house at the end of this post - but here is a before pic of the yellow kitchen...
This was the people who sold us the house's living room.
Here's the tour:

Christmas Eve
We spent Christmas Eve and Grandpa and Grandma Jackman's house this year. Aunt Shar put on a great activity for the kids and helped us all remember the true meaning of Christmas. We loved it - it's a wonderful tradition!
Santa Brunch
The Wrights invited us to their annual Santa Brunch this year. I love going to their party, it's so magical. My kids were all excited to tell Santa what they wanted. No one was shy this year. Thank you Wrights for having us!

It was such an awesome sight to see the community come out in support of our police department and Jared Francom's family. Because Aaron's with SWAT and was on the call he went to the funeral and graveside with his team. He rode in this patrol car with some of his team through the procession. It was really neat to see what the firefighters did too. Aaron's partners were there in their turnouts at attention. It was very emotional to see the casket on top of the engine and I hope that I don't have to see that again. However like I said I'm really proud of our community, the boyscouts lined the streets with flags, and every street was full of people.
