First Haircut

I took Reagan to get her first haircut on Sept. 10, 2011 - she was so good to just sit there and let the lady work.  Of course she had to have the pink car!

Frightmares

Ashton and I had our annual trip to Frightmares at Lagoon this weekend.  He was so brave!  He is now tall enough for the big rides, so we hit the rickety old white roller coaster first thing.  I remember my first ride on a similar coaster at the Puyallup WA fair, it was freaky.  I wish I could have videoed the poor kids face.  The minute we went down that first hill he looked terrified!  He didn't make a sound the whole ride, he just clung onto the bar in front of him.  At the end I asked him if he was ok and if he wanted to go again, "I don't EVER want to do that again!"  He did however go on the Tidal Wave and big Swings.  They made me so sick, so I was out for any other circular rides - he went on them by himself instead!  It was funny to watch him cause he would look back behind him the whole time trying to see the other kids on the rides - too social :)

Backyard Campout

I can't believe I didn't post these pics in August...  this was all taken with my phone, sorry for the poor quality:  We never made it camping this summer so on August 12th "we" decided to campout in the backyard.  I made it till the actual sleeping in the tent part and Aaron gave up at one point and brought the computer out for a drive-in movie :)

We even had a deer in the back yard/field - you'll have to take my word for it, but it is a deer.

Rojo, Verde y Blanco

I have to brag about Ashton for a minute.  This is him at his school Carnival singing a spanglish song about red, green and white.  He is doing so well in school.  He had parent/teacher conferences a couple weeks ago and his teacher told us that in his testing he was at a 50 benchmark out of 60 and he's only required to be at a 26 at this point in the year.  He uses words like "complete replica," "cooperate," and phrases that we can't believe he understands.  We love listening to audiobooks in the car, we often listen to ones that should be above his comprehension but he constantly discusses them and then uses things he hears later in the correct context.  He recently got in trouble at school.   I went in to meet with Ashton's teacher the other day.  She told me that Ashton and another boy had gotten in trouble for something and other boy got very upset when they were caught.  Ashton tried very hard to make him feel better.  She said he was  a very good friend with a big heart. He's very kind and good at including others - even in trouble apparently!
