Christmas Celebrations I

We spent Christmas Eve with my family this year. The boys started the day ice fishing up at Pineview, Chris caught his first fish! After, we headed out to go bowling while we waited for Carly to get off work. Ashton loved it, and even bowled a few strikes. Colten had a hard time waiting for his turn but loved to help mom throw the ball.
Christmas Celebrations II

After bowling we went to my parents for dinner and presents. Ashton was a little jealous that Colten got a Bumblebee transformer, and had a mild breakdown. He got over it quickly! The boys had fun trying to sneak christmas candy from my mom's display. We played dvd family feud, it was fun.
I of course didn't use my camera at all on Christmas day. In the morning the boys opened presents with us. After Ashton opened every present he would get really excited and say "I wished for this." I think it comes from me telling him when ever he asked for something that we could put it on his wish list.
After we packed up we headed out to spend the day with Aaron's family. We had fun playing wheel of fortune and dodging the kids potato guns! Aaron put in the new faucet we bought his dad and Colten terrorized Sunny - Emily's dog. It was a good low key day.

Crazy?
So we all know that Aaron is a little crazy - he declared that in high school (fun soccer story), but I think fishing in this weather is a definite! In parts of the river he and his buddy had to break huge chunks of ice and float them down river just to fish it...
And the new hobby - I think when I say "no" he hears "of course babe that would be so awesome." These snowmobiles actually belong to a family friend and Aaron is fixing them up for him. Ashton has fallen in love and can be bribed to be a saintly child for a whole week with just one promise of taking a ride. Its hard to completely hate them, oh the conflicts of my life (ha ha ha).

Reindeer
I took the kids to see Santa and his Reindeer at Weber State...it was a lot more work than it was worth it. I'll be taking them to the mall since they got to "see" Santa for two seconds. It was cool to see the reindeer though. Ashton loved it, Colten cried!

Reagan can't stand being in her bouncer chair now... she will sit like this until someone gets her out. She's started rolling onto her stomach, but hasn't figured out how to roll back yet. She loves to watch the boys, and they are quite the entertainment!

Picture updates!
We went to get the kids pictures taken today...I learned two very important lessons: 1- dress kids individually and put directly into car seat once dressed. After dressing Colten, he decided to go have a swig of my Coke and spill it all over his dress shirt, hence the turtle neck. 2- never go to Target studios again...that may sound harsh but when we got there we got the kids all set in their first pose and they were all smiling when the chicks battery died and the back up one too! She had to go get a different camera - well by then it was all shot to heck. Although the pictures aren't as good as I thought they could be, my kids are still darling aren't they?

On another note, Reagan had her wellness check up and is in the 40th percentile for weight (15 lbs) and the 95th for height (26.3")!!! I knew she was tall. She's trying to hold her own bottle, grabs everything (especially my hair -did I mention she is very strong and pulls very hard?), and can roll to one side. She's growing so fast.
