9 Months!

Colten had his 9 month check up yesterday. He weighed 18.9 lbs and he's in the 30th percentile. I can't believe it, he seems like such a chunk! He is 26.5" long, and is in the 7th percentile, the doctor isn't worried as long as he's growing. He's doing well developmentally and is cruising right along. He's the happiest baby and such a blessing. It's been so fun to watch him do new things, it seems like he does something new every day. He loves to sing along with music and tell us long stories - it is so cute. He's also a big daddy's boy and has his feelings hurt every time Aaron leaves the room, or if he doesn't pick him up right away when he enters it.

Boredom

I took the boys into the doctor and found out that Colten has RSV and that they both have ear infections and bronchial weezing so they will have to do breathing treatments over the weekend. Poor kids - I should have taken them in sooner. Out of boredom Ashton has come up with some interesting games. He made a car out of this tub and his hammer! He has been bouncing off the walls since he's not used to being trapped inside for weeks! Hopefully they can get out next week and play!

Kiddos!

I had my main ultra sound yesterday. She's still a girl and everything looks great. I'm half way there and this time seems to be going so fast - which is ok with me!

Colten's first tooth just came in - finally! He has a second one coming in too. Poor kid has been sick and teething all at the same time. He's miserable, yet still a smiley boy.
He's standing up on things now and trying to figure out how to walk. He hasn't quite caught on to 'holding on,' he wants to let go and run like his big brother. We've had a few tumbles, I guess the helmet is good for more than rounding out his head!
Speaking of which, the helmet guy (I don't even know what his title is) says it's moving along really well and we go to see the cranial doctor in couple weeks. Colten should be on track to only wear it for another month and a half.

Ashton has also been sick, he can't seem to kick this cold he has. Besides that he is really into playing games with mom and dad, like Go Fish. He's also interested in learning his letters and picks out the ones he knows on signs etc. He understands the concept of right and left and it's fun to tell him which way we're going or which hand/foot to use.
He says the funniest things and is a little sponge. We're really careful with what we talk about it front of him now! He's also starting to act like an oldest child and has begun bossing us around. The other day he was washing his hands and needed a towl to dry his hands. Aaron brought one in and I asked Ashton what he need to tell his dad, he goes "hang the towel up over there." We started laughing, I said no, you need to say thank you.

Aaron's been busy at work, which he likes since it's too cold and too much snow to do any of his hobbies right now. I think he's hoping that it will allow him more play time when the weather gets nice. He really misses riding his bike and has been getting things ready to ride this spring.

Sorry there are no pics on this post but Aaron suprised me with a new camera for valentines day so I've got to go pic one out! Mine isn't doing so well and from what I've read the one I have seems to die at 4 years - so right on time!
I've been getting all caught up with my scrapbooking from last year so that I can stay on top of it from here on out - well I hope too anyway. I've also been in the 'nesting' phase and so my house is suprisingly clean! I keep coming up with little projects to work on when the kids are napping, lots to do with up coming gifts I need for friends/family.

Swim Lessons 2

Ashton really enjoyed taking swim lessons this month. By the end he was no longer timid and became very brave --making me nervous at times. Not only did he learn some basic water skills he also learned how to stand in a single file line and wait his turn, which was a comical process to watch each week. We'll probably do some more lessons when it gets closer to summer but it was a fun activity to pass the time!

"I had no idea officer"

So this is how Aaron gets out of tickets! He went ice fishing with his fire buddies this week when the fishing and game officer came to check their licenses...Aaron's expired the day before but he didn't know. Lucky for him the officer was a chick- so he flirted his way out of a ticket and ran over to the lodge to buy a new one. Smart Alec!

What a Circus!

Ashton got to go to the circus this past weekend. He was very excited. Even got a once in a lifetime opportunity to ride on an elephant! Thanks to Gram and Papa for taking him (especially since I don't like circus')!
