Lake Powell part one

We had a really good time on our annual Lake Powell trip. The first three days were really windy and so we mostly hung out in the houseboat. On the 4th day we took the kids to the Grand Canyon. It was neat to see it. Aaron and I realized how out of shape we were though trying to walk back up the hill (at 9000 feet) with the two kids on our backs - huffing and puffing! Starting Monday the weather was perfect and we got to do all the things we love. Ashton thought he was so cool skiing. He even jumped off the houseboat and swam around without any prodding (well maybe some from Emmy). Colten had a blast teasing everyone. His favorite part was to drive the ski boat all by himself, he followed Aaron's directions very well as far as turning left and right. Reagan loved to kick her feet in the water, she is definitely a water baby! I'll post video tomorrow.

Ashton is so fun to watch - at first he didn't think he could move from his spot and so everytime he would take a step off of the "spot" he would quickly put his feet back on it. He set a standard for his team of running to the different bases with their helmet on backwards - the parents were laughing to hard to be worried about their kids safety. I'm loving watching him and the rest of the White Soxs!

After we put the kids to bed Aaron and I went outside to enjoy the evening - we came in to this... Colten was slathering on salve while eating dry formula - yum!

Our lil' guy is 2!!!

Colten is such a joy! He is always happy and a great helper. He loves to do everything daddy does and his brother is his best friend. Today he gets to share his birthday with his new cousin Oliver and a new 2nd cousin (we haven't heard the name yet)... Happy Birthday lil' man!

When I picked ash up from school today he walked out holding hands with a little girl. He proceeded to tell me that his girlfriend Olivia said she would marry him today! I asked why he wanted a girlfriend, he said he asked all the girls and Olivia was the one to say yes. He likes her voice, her flower bow, her dress and flip flops because they have blue on them.

Scott and Carly had their little boy yesterday. Hudson Stuart Reid. He weighed 7lbs 11oz and is 21" long. He looks just like Carly.
