Pioneer Days

This years celebrations were so fun.  We went to the Ogden rodeo on the 21st with my family, a traditional thing.  Then on the 23rd we met up with my Aunts Susan and her daughters for a salmon and crab feast!  They brought it all down, freshly caught, from Washington.  Delish.  It was fun to catch up and see my cousins that I haven't seen in too long.  My mom, kids and I  started off pioneer day with the ogden parade.  After we decided to head to This Is The Place Park in Salt Lake City.  The kids had a blast running around the pioneer village doing all the pioneer things.  Washing clothes, stamping leather, making an arrow head necklace, horse back rides and panning for gold.  It may have to be a new tradition. (I did make the boys shirts, they were a huge hit, I got so many compliments on them).

Cousin Time

We had a blast this week with our cousins!  I had my sisters kids while she was at girls camp and Ashton got to go stay with Aaron's sister Claar at her family cabin.  We got to go to the splash pad, raptors game and hang out with gram. It was a great week for all of us.

Toothless

This poor girl is so clumsy lately.  She fell at the splash pad and knocked out her front tooth.  Its been  rough summer on her pretty little face.

Hero

Aaron keeps finding himself in the press lately.  KSL did a news story on how he helped a neighbor of the fire station cut out a tree stump so the man could finish building his fence.  KSL later used excerpts from the story on their commercials, that's a whole lot of air time!  We're so proud of his desire to serve other people.  He's always looking out for ways he can help someone else.  He's such a great example to me and our kids.

Dad Date

Ashton loves the time he gets one on one with his dad.  And the fishing wasn't bad either.

The Big Cut

After growing his hair out for months Ashton decided to cut it off.  He says its much cooler.

July 4th

As part of Independence Day celebrations Willard City has a community talent show.  Reagan along with some other willard residence from her studio got to dance in the show!

We started off the day of the 4th right with a parade - that Reagan got to dance in!  Her dance studio did two numbers to Good Ship Lollipop (a  hip hop remix of Shirley Temple singing) and Here Comes the Navy by the Andrew Sisters.  I absolutely loved it!   They were all so adorable.

Later that evening my family all met up with us at the Willard fireworks show.  They do such a good job - we love it every year.
