Dreams do come true...

We've been looking for the "perfect" camper trailer since this post, a '50s or '60s Shasta.  Well there a happened to be the perfect one on a road right by our house - everytime we drive by I told Aaron to pull over and I would go ask them if we could buy it, or if they were ever interested in selling it, to call us.  He ignored me.  Then on KSL yesterday night this beauty popped up.  A 1966 Shasta with the original wings and hardware!  I was sooo excited and called Aaron.  This was exactly what he wanted too, so he went to buy it this morning.  Lo and behold it just happened to be the SAME trailer I had wanted to buy for the last month!  Crazy - can I just say that I have great intuition!  (ha ha ha).   Well there is a lot of interior work to be done and Aaron has to fix the gas and electric lines - which we were planning on.  We'll document our progress as we go.  I feel giddy!

Days of '47 Rodeo

Pineview

We took the boat up to Pineview reservoir with our old neighbors the Cheneys. It was a lot of fun to see how big the boys have gotten. Both Ashton and Carter tried to ski-board in the deep water! It was a lot harder that way. Aaron and I even got a turn on the tube together (that never happens), it was wild!

Tubing

Aaron and I went down the Weber river with friends on Tuesday. It was a lot of fun and a great workout! We felt like kids. We're a little sore and sunburned but would love to do it again.

Days of '47 Kids Parade

Photobucket
We took the train down to Salt Lake to watch Madison in the parade. She won the Jr. Miss Queen for the days of '47! She was really excited to ride in the parade. Colten got to ride with Emily on the other truck. He yelled "Mom" the entire time he could see me. Em said he loved waving to all the people along the route.

East Canyon

We took the kids up to East Canyon to swim and fish.

Walking

Our trip was amazing.  Thanks to Scott and Carly for driving the long hours with us.  We took a short trip to the bay the day before the sealing.  Ashton loved the salt water, while Colten wanted nothing to do with it.  Uncle Scott was a good sport and got in with Ash.
On Saturday we went to the Seattle Temple to witness the second wedding of my grandparents and the sealing of our family for all eternity.  It was beautiful and very spiritual.  I am so grateful for this ordinance.  It bring such peace to know that we will all be united again after this life.

Family Pictures

Our friend Meghan took family pictures for us this past week. I think they turned out pretty great!

Reagan likes the garden too

Found Reagan eating dirt today - yum!

Ashton Says

"Mom, this jacket could be for school, it's like a romance jacket, you know handsome."

Fourth of July

After Reagan's birthday party we went down to our city's park for their Independence Day (Ashton learned about this in school and likes to use the official name) celebrations.  We had a delicious sloppy joe dinner then played on the bouncy toys.  Ashton and Reagan loved the fireworks, with lots of oohs and awes, while Colten wasn't sure what he thought about them.  He enjoyed them best while laying in his dad's arms!

I did a vintage ice cream parlor for Reagan's first birthday party.  It was a ton of fun with Grandpa Randy's soft serve ice cream machine!  Traditionally we let Reagan have her own cake.  She was funny at first, like she wanted to dig in but she thought she would get in trouble...once she caught on she had the whole cake in her mouth!  I can't believe a year has gone by.  She is such a doll and such a joy to have in our home and family.  We really love her and are so glad she came to us even if it was a surprise!
