West High!

Our 10 year reunion is tomorrow - it makes me feel so old! We both had a blast in high school and we have some great memories. Mine include: Oestanas, dances, football games and wrestling meets, sluffing, pool at the union, sleep overs, Bountiful guys, Beaver, the lighthouse (boy were we young), spirit bowl, senior assassinations (I still think we outdid the guys 100%), Sammy, Greg's VW bus (what would it have been like without him?), and of course my girls - life wouldn't be the same without all of the support and love I've gotten from you over the last 17 -13 years!

As you can see we've stayed pretty close to our friends - I'm hoping to get updated pictures tomorrow, it'll be fun to see how much we've all changed. (We'll miss you Brad and Heather). I'm actually pretty excited to see everyone we haven't stayed in contact with and catch up.

It's funny that Aaron and I ended up getting married, we really only hung out for 4 months in h.s. so it's probably a shocker to a lot of people, we'll see....

It's been 5 years - can you believe it? It's gone by so fast. I am so grateful to be married to such a wonderful guy who makes me laugh, challenges me and loves me so much! I'm excited to see where life takes us and I'm glad we're doing it together! Love you with all my heart - Sarah

Cousin Time

Boys' update

Colten: Went to the doctor this week and weighs 11 lbs, 22.5" tall. Just to compare at this exact age Ashton weighed 13.5 lbs and was 25" tall! Colten has gotten so aware of people paying attention to him, he will coo and smile as long as you continue to tell him how cute he is!

Ashton: Has been saying the funniest things lately. The other night we were getting ready for prayers when his stomach gurgled, he said: Mom my belly is hungry again. Me: no it's not you just ate something. Ashton looking down: Belly, mom says no.

He's asked Aaron what his girlfriends name is, then told him I was mad at him yesterday but not today, Mom's happy to see you today- I don't know where that came from.

Told his Papa that he likes getting to trouble, it's fun!

And told me when I said we had to clean the house before his friend comes over "yeah so carter doesn't say 'oh no the house is a mess' and I say 'Don't worry' then I sing like Oscar (from shark tales) 'don't worry 'bout a thing."

Pioneer Days Rodeo & Wild Cow Milking

The Rodeo was a little more exciting than usual for us this year! Aaron's Chief asked him to be on a team for the pre-show entertainment at the rodeo last night...to try and milk a wild cow! Ashton kept telling everyone that his dad was going to knock over a cow! It was fun to watch them - hope you enjoy!

Raptors Game

We took Ashton to the Raptors game last night and my mom took him up to the press box to ask if they would play the baseball song - they said sure and that they would have Ashton lead the crowd. They announced that they would be doing something different that night and that Ashton Jackman who is 2 1/2 will be leading the song... He did the whole thing in the microphone and the crowd went crazy! It was soooo cute! (I put the audio of the crowd on the blog).

We've been practicing for baseball season when low and behold he surprises us with his ability to sing the whole thing by himself!

When I was little...

Yesterday I took him to get a slush, which he usually gets from Gram... in the car he says "Mom when I was little my gram always gets me slushes"... I guess I'm always telling Ashton that "when I was little my grandma would..." he listens more often than I thought!

More Summer Fun

Smiles

Colten's first smile was at 4 or 5 weeks, but this week he has really gotten consistent with it!

Shout out to my Hubby

Ok so Aaron is the greatest! We are blessing Colten on Sunday and so I was planning on deep cleaning my whole house tomorrow - Aaron just did it all for me! Granted he is going to go biking tomorrow now - but how many guys would pay that price? Love you babe!

6 weeks

Waterslides

Aaron's partner had his daughter's birthday party at some waterslides in Riverdale and they invited us to come along. Ashton loved going down the slides with his dad - except for the big one!

Pineview Lake

We took Uncle Scott and his girlfriend Carly to the lake to go fishing. Ashton loved to "dunk" Carly under the water! No one caught a fish again - I'm starting to think this lake is bad luck!
