Happy Birthday!

Reagan turned 2 on the 27th.  To celebrate we had a combined party for her and my mom, whose birthday is only a couple days later.
The theme was little red riding hood.  You can see the party decor here.
Singing the birthday song, she blew out matches because her mom forgot the candles...oops.
We are in the process of building RJ a play kitchen, so for her birthday all the gifts were centered around that.  Gram made her this adorable apron!

If you ask her what her name is she says "I two."
We love you both very much!

Lost Tooth!

Ashton lost his first tooth.  He knocked it loose while eating a peach.  I told him to leave it alone thinking it would strengthen back up - after a week we decided it wasn't going to happen!  He started playing with it until he came out to tell me that it fell out and he needed to put it under his pillow.  Around 11 pm I snuck in, took the tooth and replaced it with a certificate from the Tooth Fairy and a dollar.  Ashton woke up at midnight and came to my room bawling cause his brother was sleeping on his pillow with him and the Tooth Fairy was going to get confused and give the money to Colten...deep seeded issues?  Nah.  I convinced him that it would be fine and to go back to bed.  He came out a few minutes later with the money etc - he still thought she had gotten confused and given it to Colten.  Thank goodness for the certificate with his name on it!  Silly boy.

Trophy

Ashton finished baseball having grown a lot this year.  He is now right handed instead of left (in baseball only).  He hustles and runs after the ball every time - a huge improvement from last year.  His attention span has grown too.  He hits well with the fastest pitching coach in the league and he is on the verge of catching those pop flies. He learned how to slide into home too! It was really fun to watch him this year.

Swinter

We took the kids up the mountain just after they finally opened the road. Even though it was blistering hot down in the valley it was nice and cool up on top. The kids had a blast throwing snowballs at dad! It made me think of Phineas and Ferb's Swinter episode...my kids love that show.

Fork Lift

Aaron's friend Mike let the kids come down and "help" him in his warehouse.  Colten was in heaven, Ashton felt so cool and Mike couldn't believe how Reagan got in there and took over.

Good way to get a new George Forman, even with the goose egg on my head.

Temple Square

We had a lot of fun riding the train to SLC to go to Temple Square with my best friend and her kids the other day.  We went to all the visitors centers and had lunch at a yummy cafe across the street.  The boys had fun making up knock knock jokes on the way home - despite a train host that kept telling Colten to keep his feet off the seat even though his legs were too short to not have them on the seat!  It was a good outing anyway.

White Kids Can't Dance

My cute munchkins dancing away - I love to watch Reagan, who actually has rhythm.

Colten Say's

Reagan put on her tutu and began telling Colten that she's a princess. Colten said "I'm a frog. I have to kiss you," and gave her a big smooch on the forehead.

Colten brought me his shoes and said "Mom will you help me put on my shoes so I can kill the weedos?"
Me: "what are the weedos are they beetles?"
Colt: "No, weedos are spiders. I'm going to kill the weedos and say 'yay they're gone,' and everyone will say 'Colten killed the weedos!'"

No Training Wheels!

Ashton did an awesome job for his first time without the training wheels.  He hopped right on and rode without any problems!  He's growing up too fast if you ask me.  He had his kindergarten test before we went to Powell and did a great job.  We bought him some sight words flash cards and he's doing really well sounding them out - I'm sure he'll be reading simple books soon.
