3 Months

A Tree for Lucy

Our friends from high school Sam and Sarah lost their first baby Lucy to a severe birth defect when she was almost 4 months old. She lived her life in Primary Children's Hospital - so every year they do a tree for the Festival of Trees. This year due to the economy they are having to take donations in order to have the funds for their tree - please check out their blog and read about their story and if you feel so inclined make a donation, anything helps.

Getting Better

Apparently Ashton's photography is getting better...too bad he's sneaking the use of my camera, which is off limits!

Hiking with Friends

Our friends the Holbrooks were in town last week and so we decided to go for a picnic and hike. It was fun - although we did a lot of stopping and waiting on the little dilly dalliers! Colten zonked in his carrier -it was cute.

Ash says

Aaron and I were talking about a friends little boy who got hurt when Aaron said "what do we do keep our kids in a bubble?" Ashton was apparently listening in when he responded, "you can put me in a bubble," (in a quieter voice) "then I'll float away."

Aaron accidently let our dog out into the street the other morning, ashton said "who let the dog out?"
Aaron "I did."
Ashton "Was that a good idea?"

Aaron "no"

Ashton "Are you going to do it again?"

Rasta

Aaron's latest adventure with the SWAT team had them scouring in the mountains looking for the "farmers" of this pot field. This is the second (and larger field) discovered on mountain property. After hiking all day the guys cut it down and hauled it off to be destroyed - I guess the street value was around 4 million dollars!

Big girl

Reagan had her doctor appt yesterday. Besides 5 shots it went well. She is in the 75th percentile for height and weight! She weighed 12.6 lbs and 23.5" tall. She smiles, coos and giggles - especially at Colten.

The Big 4

We celebrated Ashton's fourth birthday today. He had his first friend party - Superhero Academy. He had a blast. I can't believe my little man is four...where does the time go? His favorite things to say right now are "re-dic-lee-ous" (instead of ridiculous), and "now that's what I'm talking about." He loves preschool and playing with his friends. He really is sweet and so helpful - I'm really proud to be his mom!

Lil' Rider

Aaron took Colten on his first dirt bike ride... he was pretty calm the whole time until we took him off - he wanted right back on!

First Day of School

Ashton loved his first day of preschool. He learned about sunflowers, the color yellow and counting. He played on the computer and had treats too. I think it's going to be a really fun year for him. Colten wasn't happy that Ashton got to go without him, he cried for quite a while in the car after we dropped him off. It was cute.

He's really excited for his birthday this weekend and has invited everyone he talks with to come (including grocery store clerks). He can't wait to be four.

Utah State Fair

My mom and I took the kids to the fair. It was fun to watch Colten, he was a little nervous about the animals. He wanted to do everything that Ashton did though.

11 Weeks

I made this cute tutu for Reagan to wear to Uncle Chris' football game - it was there rival game called the Iron Horse. Although they didn't play to well Reagan sure was the cutest cheerleader ever!

Fighting

At least it's a win win for me!

Bear Lake

We went to Bear Lake for four days with a SWAT buddy of Aaron's and another family. It was so much fun, we haven't done anything like that with friends before. Ashton was such a fish. He LOVED jumping in the pool and swimming around on his own. The other two families each have a two year old - it made me realize how busy my three kids are!
The guys went fly fishing in Wyoming one of the days and Aaron took Colten with him. Colten loved the wet rocks - and I guess they tasted good too!


During "down time" Aaron took Ashton miniture golfing and we played at the park. It was fun to see how much the kids have grown. It was nice to get away and have a change of scene.

Lion?

"Ashton you need to comb your hair." "No, I look like Alex the lion!"

Ashton says....

After he completely destroyed his room (I mean he pulled the mattress off of his bed and everything) and spilled strawberry slushie on his carpet I was a little mad and reacted like it... his response "I'm going to tell your mom and dad on you for being mean!" And he did, too bad gram didn't give him much sympathy.

This one is for the Strongs: "Mom do you know who I like the best of the neighbors? Sophie, she's so pretty every time I see her. I wish I looked cool like boys do, but I just look like a jerk." - I have no idea where any of this comes from.

While I was helping him clean his room "Mom don't just sit there, help me!"
