November

Here are a few pics of the kids... I forgot my camera on thanksgiving so no pics, but we had a good time hanging out with Aaron's family. He had to work, it was extra "sad" cause it was his birthday too.

Doctor's

It's been a week of doctor appointments. Reagan had to go yesterday due to a fever and rash. We found out that she has a classic case of Roseola and a pretty bad ear infection. Poor baby. She weighs 14.4 lbs now. Ashton had his wellness checkup today and is in the 50th percentile for height and 4oth for weight. He weighs 35 lbs and is 40 inches tall. He had to have four vaccinces and the seasonal flu mist... he cried and and on the way out said "Colten, I got two sniff shots and two hurt shots; sister, did you see me get hurt shots?" He got 4 suckers out of it though! I'm on my way to the doctor for a soar throat...I hope it's not strep!

"Get that out of your mouth!"

We hear that phrase a lot around here!

I love PBS kids!

Ashton says "mom I have a hypothesis..."
"is this part of the tryadon family?"
"does everyone have blood cells in their body? Even eggs? I'm not talking about chicks but eggs.".

Ash says

I was explaining to Ashton that Jackmans protect those that are being picked on, this is what he learned: "when kids are picking on me, I'll protect myself with a hi-ya!". Said with a lot of attitude of course!

All Tricks and No Treats!

What a sad Halloween at our house! Ashton got sick on Wednesday night and had a terrible day on Thursday so we couldn't go to my mom's annual party. Then on Friday the rest of us got it and we were up all night puking...so no trick or treating on Saturday. Poor Ashton keeps asking when the party is going to be - he's in denial that we missed it all. Well I couldn't let it go completely so I dressed Reagan up in her costume to at least take her picture. Then we finally carved our pumpkins and roasted the seeds. I guess I will have to really make up for it next year!

Double, double, toil and trouble

While I was gone Ashton had his school parade and Halloween party... I hope he had fun because this was all he got out of Halloween this year...I'll explain in the next post.

Min-ah-SO-ta

Of course I didn't take many pictures of our trip - but I can say it was sooo fun to get away. Anna and Kreg were very gracious and Cecily was ADORABLE! She actually warmed up to me - normally she won't have anything to do with me. She loved to mimic Reagan and to help out. Anna and I had a lot of fun shopping, I forgot how enjoyable it is with one kid! We went to the Mall of America (which was awesome) - I was really excited to go to the American Girl store... even if Reagan isn't old enough to appreciate it! Kreg even beat me (ok so did Anna) in a game without me cussing (Mike could take a lesson -ha ha).

Grammie and Gramps

!My grandparents stopped in to meet Reagan on their way to their winter home last week. It was nice to visit. They brought old family movies of my mom and her sisters - it was hysterical to watch! My mom hasn't changed a bit (I'm talking since she was 9)... I guess that's what keeps her young! My Grammie also brought me a book about one of my pioneer ancestors on my mom's side - I'm very interested in finding out more about their history.

Janin's Day

The family got together for our annual Halloween party and to remember Aaron's mom's birthday. I "borrowed" most of these pics from Aaron's cousin's blog... but as you can see we had fun. We didn't end up cooking our traditional chili until too late to actually eat it- we were too caught up in conversation - I think it was worth it!

**By the way the top pic of Ashton totally proves Aaron's point that he looks like "Johnny" from the Karate Kid (you know the bad guy).
