Aaron took us fly fishing on his only day off this week! I am so grateful to have a husband who likes to spend time with his family. Ashton said he liked throwing rocks the best and mom's fish was very little! It was a beautiful day.

So I'm turning into a regular "martha stewart." Well maybe not quite but still this week has been full of little projects I can't believe I'm doing and enjoying! My neighbor gave me a huge zucchini and I made bread (I know I baked!). Aaron and I planted a garden earlier this summer and now the fruit are coming in - my mom taught me how to pickle my own cucumbers yesterday. Up next: I'm making binkie clips, bibs and little pies in muffin tins.

So Aaron and I decided to give gardening a try...it's turned out to be great! We did the square foot gardening method and we have our planter boxes by the sprinklers- so since we put the seeds in the ground we haven't had to do a thing. No weeding, no watering, not one thing. We do need to support the tomato plants now and put some kind of wall between the cucumbers and the other plants but that's it. I can't wait till we can eat the fruits/veggies!
Tomato & Spinach Pasta Toss: I am loving this recipe, super easy, yummy and I can't get enough!
Today is national sisters day (who comes up with this stuff?) so I thought I would post a little about being a sister as well as my sisters. I always loved being the big sister, I loved the responsibility of setting an example and well thinking I was a second mom (who me?). I always have felt very protective of my little bro and sis, and I still have a hard time letting that go. I can't stand to see them hurting or struggling - I often want to rescue them from life's challenges even though I can't. I love being their sister.
