"I broke the fence!"

Aaron let the boys have a ride on their motorcycle yesterday.  I came running out when I heard Colten crying.  He drove the bike straight into the fence.  He was completely fine just startled and worried about getting into trouble.  He did bust the bottom support beam right in half though.  He told his grandpa that he broke the fence and his dad was mad - really it was his mom!

They Say

Mom: Please don't leave the bread open, it will get hard and yucky and stale
Colten: Like my toes?

While at Uncle Scott's house:

Ashton: Can we play video games?
Scott: I don't know if your mom wants you too, you might be addicted.
Ashton: Let's just do it. What's addicted anyway?
Scott: When you can't live without it.
Ashton: Don't worry I'm only addicted to Scooby Doo.  I love that cute little guy!

Reagan's new phrases are "no way" (ash says she sounds like an old woman when she says it, because of a little vibrato) and "Oooh" when she doesn't get what she wants.
The other night it was time for her to go to bed and she started to say "daddy, daddy" to have Aaron come rescue her.  He gave her a kiss and I laid her down.  She was quiet but he lasted 30 min before he came and got her out again.  She definitely knows how to pull on his heart strings!
She loves to play with my hair, she always brushes it so it hangs over my face and then says "pretty!"

So Cute

This hat belonged to Aaron's great uncle Reid - it's from the 1920s or 30s!

Winterfest

We went down to winterfest a few weeks ago and watched the snowmobile races. It was freezing!

The boys built bird houses at the Home Depot booth.  We brought them home and painted them.  They are hanging in our tree in our backyard waiting for spring!

Congrats to Ashton

Ashton got accepted to Ogden Preparatory Academy!  It's a charter school that offers a dual language program (English/Spanish) for students to become bi-literate.  We're really excited and happy that he got into the school we wanted.  I can't believe he's old enough though!

Front Page News

Aaron and Ashton made the front page of The Standard Examiner yesterday!  They participated in Ogden's Winterfest tabogon race again.  We spent the day watching snowmobiles race down 25th street -super cool.  Here's a link to the article http://www.standard.net/topics/business/2011/01/28/city-agencies-businesses-test-homemade-toboggans-ogden-winterfest

How religious of you...

Before church on Sunday we had gotten ready early and needed to distract the kids for 20 minutes. I decided to put on a living scriptures movie we were given, about Lazarus. My hope was to invoke the Spirit into my kids before Sacrament.  As I'm getting the movie started all the kids are sitting on the couch. Ashton clasps his hands and starts chanting "please don't be about Jesus, please don't be about Jesus, please don't be about Jesus."

Then during Sacrament we were singing the hymn and Colten, holding a hymnal, starts singing at the top of his lungs to the tune. I thought he was just making sounds to go with the music...and then Aaron and I caught what he was singing, "I love my motorcycle, I love my motorcycle, I love my motorcycle!"  I had to bury my face in the hymnal because I was laughing so hard.

New Years Eve

This was the 40s style suit I wore. I love the button details.  The shoulder pads and chest area were a little big for my taste but the skirt was darling.  I sold it for $14.50 with a broken zipper.  I paid $6 at DI.
