Amazing!

I spent the weekend scanning in photos and documents that my mom had on her family. I thought this was really cool:

Tonya is my mom's Aunt.
Reagan and I are both named after Helen, my great-grandma.
Ella is Sarah's mother-in-law.

My Mom - look at where Reagan and I get our looks from...

This next one is my Grammi, my mom's mom in her wedding dress, also with her mother (my grandma gg).  We have this dress!

This one is my dad - I thought I saw a little of my nephew Hudson in him...

Colten hit the tv with a piece of pvc. Never mind that it's the only new thing we've bought, but that it's three days out of warrany! Colt promptly went to get his dump truck so he could ''put tv in it and take it to garage.''

They Say

Ashton "Mom I'm going to marry Sophie, cause I want to marry somebody I know and we're friends, and we're smart just like each other and we have the same hair and blue eyes like each other..." I told him not to mention this to Sophie's dad.

Ashton and I were having a conversation about Christ and the prophets when he asked "mom, why do we have to go to church, can't we get all this stuff at the store?" I tried to explain that we go to church because Heavenly Father asked us to and that the stores are concerned about money not Jesus. The next morning I was buying a coke from McDonalds, after I gave the girl my money Ashton says "Mom that girl doesn't like Jesus, she just cares about money!" I was sooo glad she closed the window before this comment was made!

Colten was being bossy and showing his dad a lot of attitude.
Aaron: Colten this is my house...
Colten: Yours house?
Aaron: Yeah and I'm sharing it with you and letting you live here, you like living with mom and dad right?
Colten: Yeah (bobbing head up and down)
Aaron: You need to share and be nice if you're living in my house.
At this point Aaron starts teasing him...
Aaron: You have 16 more years and then you're out! Ha Ha Ha
Colten starts crying: 16 years?
So of course I start crying, my poor baby is terrified that he's getting kicked out! Hugs all around etc.
Later Aaron and Colten are in the garage.
Colten: Dad this is yours house, and my garage!
Lesson learned.

Reagan (with hand raised in a stop position and her nose turned up): I don't wan it!

Vintage Dress

This is my "new" vintage dress.  I think it's late 40s early 50s - and in great condition for being 60+
years old!  I bought it at Decades in Salt Lake and it fits like a glove.
Heart rhinestone buttons.
 Cute matching belt.
Darling button detail down the front opening.  I wore the dress to church yesterday with my back seam nylons and my American Eagle shoes (that look like they're from the 40s) and  I was complemented for looking like I just stepped out of a magazine :)

Growth Charts

I took Ashton and Reagan to their wellness check ups today.  Ashton 44in tall, a 2in growth since October and only 41 lbs, a 2 lb loss - I know, no wonder he is sooo skinny.  Reagan is 33in tall - a 3in growth since October!  They said that was a big growth spurt for her.  She weighs 23.9 lbs thats almost 4 lb gain too!

Camera tragedy

Aaron is so awesome and usually fixes everything........but this camera was beyond help despite his valiant efforts, Aaron is my hero.

"Daddy can fix anything, He's like Handy Manny!"

The lens wouldn't open because Aaron got dust in it. Something a simple can of air was supposed to fix turned into complete destruction of my camera. Soon an old roll of film was used to force the dirt out, until said film broke off and got stuck in the zoom lens. Then the whole thing had to come apart. Fixed... and then in the process of putting it all back together a part was broken= unrepairable... I was laughing till I was almost crying. It wouldn't be such a big deal if my transmission didn't just go out on my car, the fence wasn't trashed yesterday, the boys didn't kick a hole in the door, broke the napkin holder (which Aaron did fix), and broke my spoon holder on the stove...oh joy.

"I broke the fence!"

Aaron let the boys have a ride on their motorcycle yesterday.  I came running out when I heard Colten crying.  He drove the bike straight into the fence.  He was completely fine just startled and worried about getting into trouble.  He did bust the bottom support beam right in half though.  He told his grandpa that he broke the fence and his dad was mad - really it was his mom!
