Family Outing

Aaron took us fly fishing on his only day off this week! I am so grateful to have a husband who likes to spend time with his family. Ashton said he liked throwing rocks the best and mom's fish was very little! It was a beautiful day.

So I'm turning into a regular "martha stewart." Well maybe not quite but still this week has been full of little projects I can't believe I'm doing and enjoying! My neighbor gave me a huge zucchini and I made bread (I know I baked!). Aaron and I planted a garden earlier this summer and now the fruit are coming in - my mom taught me how to pickle my own cucumbers yesterday. Up next: I'm making binkie clips, bibs and little pies in muffin tins.

Did I say growing?

Oh my I feel like it's going to fast! Colten rolled over from his stomach to his back yesterday! I can't believe it - I'm trying to enjoy how little he is but it is going so much faster than it did with Ashton. Aaron said he was holding his own bottle for a while too...

Ashton is cracking me up lately. I can't believe how big he is and how much he understands and figures out! He was mad at me for getting him in trouble and when he came out of time out he told Aaron that he called the paramedics to come take mom away. Aaron asked why and he said cause he told them too!

Growing

Colten reaches out for things now, my face, binkies, bottles and toys. He can't quite let go of them once he gets them though! It's so fun to watch him and see all the changes.

Talents

Aaron made all of these by hand! I'm so proud of his talents.

Canada, Oh Canada

Aaron just got back from a week long trip fishing in Canada with my uncle, his family and my brother. They had a pretty good time in such a pristine place. They caught salmon, sharks and crab. They saw whales, mountain lions and bears. Not to mention the Indian burial caves they explored. Thanks to the Grimnes' for a wonderful trip and all the fresh salmon!
